A South Surrey home is among the grand prize options in the 2026 VGH+ Hometown Heroes Lottery.
Tickets are now available for the lottery, VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation and the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund announced Tuesday (April 14), with proceeds supporting VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation, the leading charity investing in health care innovation in B.C., according to a release.
Grand prize winners can choose from 10 homes located in Vancouver, Langley, South Surrey, Pemberton, the Okanagan and Vancouver Island, or choose $2.3 million in tax-free cash.
There will be 82 winners with more than $370,000 in bonuses and early bird prizes as well.
Located at 16241 10A Avenue, the 3,592 sq. ft. South Surrey home features four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a double-car garage. The prize package also includes a 2026 Kia Sorento PHEV (plug-in hybrid) EX LX AWD, $60,000 cash for furniture, and $500,000 in additional cash.
The total prize package is worth more than $2.6 million, the release noted.
The Foundation raises essential funds for VGH, UBC Hospital, Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre, and Vancouver Community Health Services.
They also support Burn Fund programs, such as the Home Away program, which offers accommodations to burn and trauma survivors at the Burn Fund Centre in Vancouver, mental health support for burn survivors, as well as the annual Burn Camp for young burn survivors.
“The VGH+ Hometown Heroes Lottery continues to be a powerful way for everyone in B.C. to support the health care innovation that patients rely on every day,” said VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation president and CEO Angela Chapman. “Every ticket purchased helps fund critical medical equipment that leads to more accurate diagnoses, efficient surgeries, and improves access to care.
