UPDATE: Peel Regional Police confirmed shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Friday that a man was stabbed in an “isolated incident” earlier in the morning “after an altercation” with another male in the area of Airport and Derry roads. The victim’s injuries are described as serious, but not life-threatening. There is no description of the culprit, who fled the area. (Earlier story appears below)
A man was rushed to a trauma centre in serious condition after reportedly being stabbed near Malton GO station in Mississauga early Friday morning.
Peel Paramedics told INsauga.com an adult male was in serious condition when he was rushed to hospital shortly after the incident, which occurred at around 8 a.m. in the vicinity of the GO station in Mississauga’s northeast end near Toronto Pearson Airport.
The GO station is located on Derry Road East, just east of Airport Road.
A police presence remains in the area.
