Man wanted after stabbing near GO station in Mississauga

A man is wanted in connection with a stabbing at a GO station in Mississauga on Friday morning.

Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the Malton GO Station, near Derry Road and Airport Road, around 8:30 a.m.

Investigators say two men who knew each other were involved in an altercation that escalated, leaving one man injured with an edged weapon.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Jaikaran Singh, 23, of Mississauga, is wanted for charges related to aggravated assault.

He is described as a South Asian man, with a height of six feet and a thin build. He has medium-length black hair and brown eyes.

Police say he has a birthmark on the right side of his head and a scar on the bridge of his nose.

Investigators are asking anyone who sees the suspect not to approach him and to call 911.
