A’ja Wilson continues to ride high and make more WNBA history.

Her latest significant milestone — becoming the first player in the league with 30 points and 20 rebounds in a game.

The team US and Las Vegas basketball star led her team to a 94-86 victory over the Connecticut Sun at Michelob Ultra Arena on Sunday (August 10).

“It’s pretty cool to have my name in the record books when it comes to that,” the Olympic champion told AP News. “I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a lot following up. It’s pretty cool to kind of be the first one.”

The two-time Olympic basketball gold medallist scored 32 points and tied a career-high with 20 rebounds:

“It’s huge. I didn’t even know, as many greats as we have in this league, it’s kind of a shocker that it’s just now happening. It’s a blessing. I love what I do. I love what I do. I love it so much, so anytime that I can come out and just play basketball the way that I love it, and the team, and we’re all getting involved — I’m happy with that.”

Wilson turned 29 on Friday—the same day she dropped 29 points in the Aces’ 90-86 win over the Seattle Storm.
