Looking for a fun night out that supports a great local cause?

The Pagosa Youth Soccer Rangers are hosting their first-ever movie night fundraiser, and the whole community is invited.

The event features a one-night-only screening of “Goal!,” the inspiring underdog story of a young soccer player chasing his dream of going pro. It’s a perfect pick for families, teams and fans of the game — or anyone who enjoys a feel-good sports movie.

The fundraiser will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Liberty Theatre. The doors will open at 5 p.m., and the fun begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available now at pagosamovies.com/movies.

In addition to the film, guests can look forward to fun door prizes from local businesses.

Pagosa Youth Soccer is a competitive, community-based soccer club serving boys and girls born between 2007 and 2017. The club’s mission is to develop strong players and teammates through hard work, good sportsmanship and access to quality coaching — regardless of a family’s financial situation.

The Rangers represent Pagosa at league games and tournaments throughout the region, and fundraising efforts like this help keep those opportunities accessible for all.

All proceeds from the event will help cover tournament fees, coaching stipends, uniforms and other seasonal costs that make it possible for local kids to play the game they love.

The club encourages families to bring the kids, invite friends and help spread the word. Every ticket supports youth soccer in Pagosa Springs, and every seat filled makes a difference.
