The first round of the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Golf Championship is now underway. The 54-hole tournament is being held at the Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia from April 19-21.
The course is a par 72 with yardage running approximately 6,003 on Sunday.
This year marks the 32nd annual Championship (the first event was held in 1994) and first it has been held in Dalton.
Dalton Golf and Country Club offers a beautiful, tree-lined 18-hole course. The Championship course was redesigned by Golf Course Architect Bill Bergin in 2020, creating a challenging and rewarding round of golf. Overall, the golf course dating back to 1912, and has beautiful characteristics that have been maintained throughout the history of the club. The venue has hosted other conference championships and will host the 2027 and 2028 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship.
The All-OVC Teams, the OVC All-Newcomer Team and Freshman of the Year awards were presented prior to Saturday’s practice round. The OVC Player and Coach of the Year awards as well as All-Tournament and Tournament MVP awards will be presented on Tuesday at the conclusion of the championship.
