23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick is on a roll in 2026 after winning last Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway, making it five Cup Series race wins this year. The impressive tally has led him to match NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt’s 1987 record.
It seems like Reddick is well on his way to securing his first NASCAR Cup Series championship this year. Even before that happens, he has reached a significant milestone in the sport by winning five Cup Series races in the first nine races of the season, a feat that Earnhardt achieved in 1987.

What makes it even better is that Reddick led laps in those five races and went on to win them. Notably, Earnhardt went on to win the championship in 1987 with a margin of 489 points over Bill Elliott.

The closing laps of the Cup Series race saw Reddick lose the race lead to his 23XI team co-owner, Denny Hamlin, followed by an incident that damaged Reddick’s car. With just two laps to go, a caution led to an overtime restart, shuffling the field. Eventually, Reddick got close to Kyle Larson on the last lap and overtook him for the race win.

Reddick leads the Cup Series standings by 105 points. Speaking during the post-race press conference, he said:
“I’m loving that we’re seeing the fruits of that hard work paying off right now. If anything, I think a couple weeks ago or couple wins ago, the question was, Now you’ve won two or three, do you settle in, get in a good rhythm and go? No. It’s let’s take advantage of how well we’re working together right now, see if we can continue to get the points, get the wins, while everyone is trying to figure it out and get it together.”
