The accident happened around 11:40 a.m. on D’Iberville Street near the intersection with Samuel-de-Champlain Street, according to local police, the Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil (SPAL).
They say the street sweeper was operated by a contractor hired by the municipality.
Police have secured a perimeter and D’Iberville Street is currently closed between Samuel-de-Champlain and Quesnel streets. They say an investigation is underway.
