Peel Regional Police have arrested a man and are searching for another in relation to an arson case in Mississauga.

At 5:28 a.m. on March 16, police responded to calls about a fire at an unoccupied business near Winston Churchill Blvd. and Argentia Rd.

The suspects fled before officers arrived. There were no reported injuries.
Police said there have been two more attempted arsons at the same business since the initial police call.
On April 17, police arrested 19-year-old Kevin Pardes of Ottawa and charged him with arson, break and enter, possession of break in instruments, disguise with intent, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Cops are also searching for a second suspect and have released images.
He is described as being in his late teens to early 20s, with a fair complexion, slim build, clean-shaven and dark eyes. He was seen wearing a black tuque, black puffer jacket, black jeans, and black Nike Air Force shoes.

Police looking for suspected shooters in Oshawa
Durham Regional Police are on the hunt for two suspects following a Saturday shooting in Oshawa.
Officers were searching the area of Court and Bruce Sts. following reports of gunshots. They were then notified that a man was in hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. That man was later moved to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Later on, police investigated a vehicle with a bullet hole and shattered windows near Harmony Rd. and King St. E. They found another man suffering from a gunshot wound in a residence. That man was moved to a hospital, also with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to search for two suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Constable Pike at 905‑579‑1520, ext. 2770.
