The Mississauga Symphony Orchestra takes the stage with Brass Transit this weekend to celebrate the music of the rock band Chicago.
Comprised of award-winning musicians with credits spanning major recording projects, national broadcasts, and international touring, Brass Transit performs Chicago’s decades-spanning, multi-platinum catalogue.
Backed by the full force of the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra, audiences can expect songs that have defined generations of popular music, like 25 or 6 to 4, Beginnings, If You Leave Me Now and Hard to Say I’m Sorry.
“This program is a powerful example of what happens when exceptional artists come together,” says artistic director and conductor, Maestro Denis Mastromonaco. “Brass Transit’s energy and precision, combined with a full orchestra, brings this music to life in a way that is exhilarating and engaging.”
Brass Transit: The Music of Chicago is on Saturday, April 25, at the Living Arts Centre, 4141 Living Arts Dr., Mississauga. The showtime is 8 p.m.
Tickets start at $40 with special pricing available for youth, seniors and families.
