LETTER: Hey Surrey, $912 in fines won’t stop illegal construction

In light of your report of the extensive bylaw infractions of the Newton property that has only been fined $912 in the past year given all of its infractions, I’m a little outraged that there is not more being done because in the time this illegal (construction) has occurred, the property has probably generated more than enough money to pay off the mortgage!
WTF? Do better, Surrey.
