Ontario Provincial Police say a fatal single-vehicle crash Friday morning has closed westbound Highway 417 at Panmure Road in rural west Ottawa.
Police first posted about the crash and closure around 7:15 a.m. Just before 9 a.m., the force said that the only person in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information about the victim was shared. OPP are asking people to avoid the area if possible.
Westbound drivers can get back on the highway at Kinburn Side Road using either Upper Dwyer Hill Road or Donald B. Munro Drive.
