Surrey non-profit hosts craft fair to showcase member talents

A Surrey non-profit is hosting a craft fair to highlight the talent of its members.

Members of the Options Community Services clubhouse program are hosting the community craft fair on Thursday (April 30) at Habitat@81 (13583 81 Ave) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is open to the public and is cash only.

The referral-based program supports adults who are experiencing a variety of mental health concerns in their wellness journey.

“Find your sense of belonging at a Clubhouse, a safe, supportive environment where you can socialize, participate in fun recreational activities, learn employment skills, and increase community involvement,” reads options.bc.ca about the program. “At the Clubhouses, you will never be labelled by your condition, and will feel welcomed with open arms.”

Members can access any of the three locations: North Surrey, White Rock and Delta. Each one offers various activities, including basic living skills, mental and physical wellness, leisure, employment and education.
