Ridership has decreased on Brampton Transit.
Some Brampton Transit routes are being suspended while others will have new schedules starting on Monday.
The city-operated agency says it is implementing operation changes, updated schedules and service reliability, to align with ridership demand.
Brampton Transit riders and revenues dropped 13 per cent last year, and the city has said it will adjust for the dip without cutting any routes. City numbers show that transit users declined by 20 per cent in 2025 from the previous year, and that lost revenue has amounted to $26 million.
Here are all the service changes and cancelled bus routes coming to Brampton Transit starting April 27.
Service on the following routes has been suspended due to low ridership demand:

36 Gardenbrooke
55 Elbern Markell
56 Kingknoll
Weekday schedules on the following routes have been adjusted to improve service reliability:
501 Züm Queen
502 Züm Main
505 Züm Bovaird
561 Züm Queen West
5/5A Bovaird
13 Avondale
18 Dixie
4C Chinguacousy
Additional weekday southbound trip departing Mount Pleasant GO Station at 8:02 am

Express service to the University of Toronto Mississauga is removed starting April 7.
