Salmon Arm’s 4th Annual Earth Day celebration was out of this world at the sun-kissed Ross Street Plaza Saturday morning, April 25.
Held in conjunction with the weekly Farmers Market, the event had educational fun for everyone. Eco-friendly demonstrations gave people inspiration for changes at their own homes, while kids got an early introduction to the green movement with environmentally friendly crafts and activities.
It ran from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This year’s celebration also included home energy solutions such as solar panels, and EV displays that struck a chord with the currently spiked gas prices.
Helping to set the stage and round out the event were local musicians and storytellers to entertain the crowds as they shopped the market and helped sustain the earth.
