The Algoma Art Society, which officially began in 1948, has been instrumental in the education and promotion of the arts within Sault Ste. Marie.

The Art Society has held numerous classes over the years with prominent artists, both local and guests. These images show several art classes, with students ranging from amateurs just learning to more advanced artists. They show students working on various painting projects.
