Mumbai, April 26 – Superstar Akshay Kumar-fronted Bhooth Bangla continues to perform well at the box office, registering a strong jump in collections over its second weekend. After maintaining a steady hold during the weekdays, the film witnessed significant growth as footfalls increased on Saturday and Sunday.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla collected 5.75 crore on Friday, followed by a sharp jump to 10.75 crore on Saturday, and around 12.50 crore on Sunday. This takes the second weekend total to around 29 crore net, a healthy figure that reflects positive word-of-mouth and strong audience reception.

With these collections, the film’s total India net stands at 113+ crore in just 10 days, comfortably crossing the 100 crore milestone and cementing its status as a successful theatrical outing. For Akshay Kumar, this marks yet another film that has found acceptance among family audiences, particularly in the comedy-driven space.

On the other hand, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues its historic run even after a month. The high-octane spy actioner collected around 8 crore net in its sixth weekend, including approximately 7.50 crore from the Hindi version alone. These figures highlight the film’s exceptional hold, especially in Hindi markets where it continues to perform at a remarkable level.

The film’s total India net now stands at 1130.50 crore in 39 days, with a staggering 1062.75 crore coming from the Hindi version. While Bhooth Bangla is benefiting from fresh momentum and strong weekend growth, Dhurandhar 2 is showcasing rare longevity and consistency, continuing to draw audiences even after more than a month in theatres.
