Surrey council approves four child-care applications Monday

Surrey council approved four child-care projects on Monday,
Two were subject to a public hearing while the other two were not, being consistent with the Official Community Plan and including a residential component.
For those that went to a public hearing, the first involved a single-family house at 8852 Lauder Drive. with the applicant proposing to set up a stand-alone child-care centre to a maximum of 16 children in the dwelling. The second is a proposal to develop a three-storey commercial building at 6565 – 152 Street. with offices, a child-care centre and a caretaker suite.
Council passed third reading on these, and also on the two not involving a public hearing. These are a proposal to set up a child-care operation with up to 25 children in a single-family dwelling at 6206 Sundance Drive, and a proposal to set up a child-care centre for up to 25 children in single-family dwelling at 12209 – 70A Avenue.
