1. Problematic property in South Surrey causing concern for neighbours
Located near 32 Avenue and 196 Street, the vacant property has reportedly, turned into an illegal dumping ground of sorts and has also, been the site of multiple fires.
2. Sawbucks set to return to South Surrey
A new sign above the pub’s red front doors has gone up, which has not gone unnoticed in local community social media posts.
3. Paving for 8 Surrey roads in May
Council was asked Monday (April 27) to support a $2.4-million contract for paving locations including three in South Surrey: 142A Street from Crescent Road to Greencrest Drive; 23 Avenue and 171 Street from 170 Street to 22 Avenue; and 169 Street from 22 Avenue to 23 Avenue.
4. White Rock adopts financial plan bylaw with 5.04% property tax increase
“As part of this commitment, mayor and council remuneration will be reduced by 10 per cent in 2026 to help offset rising costs.”
