A 49-year-old man is dead and two other men are in hospital after an assault at a North End Winnipeg housing complex, police say.
Officers were called to the complex on Stella Walk shortly before 3:20 a.m. Monday.
Two injured men, aged 23 and 27, were found outside, while the 49-year-old was located inside a nearby suite, according to a Winnipeg police news release on Tuesday.
The men outside were rushed to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable. The man in the suite was in critical condition and pronounced dead at the hospital.
The man who died has been identified as Robson Isaac Sinclair, a member of Fisher River Cree Nation who had been living in Winnipeg.

Elroy Ross, 23, is charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault. He was one of the injured located outside, police confirmed.
Several units at 244 Stella Walk, which is west of Main Street and between Flora and Dufferin avenues, were cordoned off with police tape on Monday morning.
The Winnipeg police homicide unit continues to investigate and is asking anyone with information to contact investigators at 204-986-6508.
