RCMP say a man has been charged with second-degree murder after a woman was found dead at a residence on Mînî Thnî Stoney First Nation.
RCMP say Jorge Twoyoungmen, 18, a resident of Mînî Thnî, has been charged with the second-degree murder of Kayla Rothe, 38, a Calgary resident.
Cochrane RCMP responded to a family disturbance at approximately 7 p.m. on April 26, where the suspect had fled before officers arrived, RCMP say.
Officers located a deceased woman in a secondary residence on the property and arrested the suspect in a wooded area nearby, RCMP say.
An autopsy that took place on April 27 determined the manner of death to be a homicide, RCMP say.
