Black Dog band brings ‘The Spirit of Led Zeppelin’ to Surrey concert stage

Surrey is a first-time tour stop for Black Dog, a Montreal-based tribute to Led Zeppelin.

Many seats are available for the band’s concert Thursday, May 7 at Surrey Arts Centre’s 400-seat Main Stage, according to the online sales website purchase.surrey.ca. Tickets are $60 for the 7 p.m. show, which has Kelowna band Crisprr opening.

Black Dog’s “The Spirit of Led Zeppelin” promises a high-energy production with all the ’70s hits from the British foursome of Plant, Page, Jones and Bonham.

“With over 250 concerts to their credit and an unwavering commitment to authenticity, this powerhouse quartet channels the raw energy, soaring vocals and legendary musicianship that made Led Zeppelin unforgettable,” a bio says.

“Expect a pristine rendition of the Led Zeppelin classics, immaculate sound quality, and multi-layered textures and vocal performances.”

Black Dog’s spring tour of B.C. includes concerts in Kamloops, Revelstoke, Kelowna, Oliver, Chilliwack, Surrey, North Vancouver and Port Moody, from April 29 to May 9.
