Richards Landing emergency department closing for 24 hours

The emergency department at the North Shore Health Network’s Richards Landing site will close this week because of physician shortages

The emergency department at the North Shore Health Network’s Richards Landing site will be closed for 24 hours this week.

The closure, due to physician shortages, will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday. The department will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday.

Ambulances will be rerouted to the closest emergency departments closes to the Richards Landing site, which are:

North Shore Health Network Thessalon Site
Sault Area Hospital
