Patriot High School graduate Jakai Moore is headed to Canada.

The offensive lineman has signed with the Montreal Alouettes, according to Tuesday’s Canadian Football League Transactions. 

He started his college career at South Carolina before transferring to North Carolina for the 2025 season.

Moore spent six seasons at South Carolina. During his time there, he played in 44 games and made 28 starts. He played in 12 games for the Tar Heels.

Moore gained a seventh year of eligibility after receiving a medical redshirt. He missed the 2024 season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

He entered the transfer portal in April, 2024 before signing with North Carolina. 

Moore spent his first two years at Manassas Park High School before transferring to Patriot for his junior year. He was a first-team all-state selection on offense his senior season at Patriot. 

At the time he committed to South Carolina, Moore was the most highly recruited player in Patriot’s history since the school opened in 2011.
