Several Winnipeg streets will see lower speed limits as we head into summer and peak cycling season.
Starting Friday, May 1, the speed limit will drop to 30 km/h on Lyndale Drive from Cromwell Street to Gauvin Street, Churchill Drive between Hay Street and Jubilee Avenue, and Wellington Crescent between Academy Road and Guelph Street.
Additional reductions will take effect on Kilkenny Drive and Kings Drive, where speeds will be lowered to 40 km/h on Kilkenny Drive between Burgess Avenue and Kings Drive, and on Kings Drive between Kilkenny Drive and Patricia Avenue.

The city also plans to introduce turn restrictions at select intersections along these routes. Those measures will be implemented after spring cleanup and will apply on weekends in May, June, September and October, and around the clock in July and August.
