A football player from Strathmore is taking the next step in his career after being selected in the Canadian Football League draft.
Jack Warrack was chosen 71st overall by the Calgary Stampeders in the 2026 CFL Canadian Draft.

The draft selection was announced on Facebook.
Career began in Strathmore
Warrack began playing football at the age of seven.
He later played for the Strathmore High School Spartans before being recruited to join the University of Saskatchewan Huskies as an offensive lineman.
While with the Huskies, Warrack competed in the 2025 Vanier Cup alongside teammate Brady Johansen.
His selection in the CFL draft marks a significant milestone, with the regular season set to begin in June.
