VIDEO: North Okanagan bakery/deli wows Alberta foodie

A foodie from Calgary is in love with a North Okanagan pastry stop.
So much so, said the shop owner, he compared the visitor to a “five-year-old waking up on Christmas Day.”
Chef2k – also known as Mike Foss – posted a video to social media Tuesday, April 28, raving about the delicacies found at Sutherland’s Bakery and Deli in Enderby.
Spoiler alert: Foss samples the legendary Sutherland’s cronuts (“These people are famous for these. Nobody makes them better”); a coconut cream long john (“That’s money”); and a bag filled with sausage rolls (“Look at that,” as the bitten roll gets its close-up with the camera).
“He was super happy, very excited,” said Sutherland’s owner Greg McCune. “He had the employees laughing so much. He was sending pictures and texts to a number of his friends. We didn’t know he was posting anything. We just saw him taking pictures.”
Foss is a talented musician and entrepreneur, according to his website, chef2k.com. But his true passion, he says, has always been food.
“Chef2K is the culinary alias that embodies Mike’s fun and food-loving persona,” his website reads. “Created to explore the creative aspects of cuisine that Mike adores, Chef2K is all about preserving cherished family recipes, inventing remarkable dishes, and traveling the globe in search of culinary wonders.
“Chef2K aims to bring a unique twist to contemporary cuisine, showcasing the finest culinary experiences the world has to offer.”
Under Recipes on his site, Foss takes a crack at his version of the Krabby Patty, made famous in the Spongebob Squarepants animated series.
He has Instagram and Facebook pages dedicated to his food and his music.
