Cadillac’s motorsports history includes sports car racing efforts, and it’s now competing in the top series in the world, Formula 1. To celebrate its long-awaited debut for the 2026 season, GM’s luxury car brand is unleashing a special version of the mighty CT5-V Blackwing. If you want to see one, head to the Miami Grand Prix, where it will be on display—this car is limited to only 26 examples.
Uniquely Stamped Doors
The car is awash in cool details. Special call-outs are found on the exterior, but the coolest such item is the F1 logo on the front doors. It’s not a badge or even a raised decal; the “F1” is stamped into the sheetmetal. Once the CT5’s regular doors are stamped, the panels for Blackwing F1 models are pulled from the production line and sent to a separate stamper to add the logo.
The body is painted in matte Midnight Stone Frost with Switchblade Silver highlighting the lower carbon fiber bodywork. The decklid spoiler is also made from carbon and features F1 and FIA logos. The wheels are finished in Carbon Flash Metallic and fitted over huge brakes whose calipers are coated in Harbor Gray Metallic paint. The usual CT5-V Blackwing badges are gloss black, while the front and rear Cadillac crests are edited to appear like the duotone F1 team logo.

Another Metal Trick Using 3D Printing
More FIA and F1 badging is sprinkled throughout the cabin, including a medallion on the shifter. Like the CT5-V Blackwing’s normal shifter medallion, this one is 3D printed from metal and features the F1 logo, the shift pattern, and some intricate line detailing that would be difficult to machine with a traditional CNC mill. The shifter bezel on the center console is made from carbon fiber, and the FIA logo is under the clearcoat at its forward edge. The high-performance front bucket seats have F1 logos embossed in place of the usual V.
The sill plates read “Cadillac Formula 1” and a builder’s badge with a unique serial number is affixed to the front door B-pillar frame.
Not Just a Badging Special
We know we’ve spent a lot of time on badging, but here’s the exciting part: The CT5-V Blackwing F1 isn’t just a badge job. The Blackwing’s 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V-8 normally puts out 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque, but GM Motorsports upgraded the superchargers superchargers to make the engine churn out 685 horsepower and 673 lb-ft.
This makes the F1 Collector Series the most powerful internal combustion Blackwing and V model in Cadillac’s history, topping even the 682-hp Escalade-V. Of course, there are more badges, as the trick supercharger has a unique cover CNC-machined with the F1 logo and laser-etched with the FIA mark.
The Blackwing F1 is only available with a manual transmission, which routes all of the output to the rear wheels.
Each example will come with the Precision package as standard equipment. This cranks up the CT5-V Blackwing’s track-readiness with revised magnetorheological damper tuning, standard adjustable front knuckles, billet toe-control links, and additional chassis stiffness measures including improved bushings. Although being stiffer might imply the car will rattle your fillings out, the dampers really do magic even on broken pavement.
Although pricing hasn’t been announced, production of the 2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series will begin in mid-2026. As mentioned, just 26 will be made, and the car will be sold in both the U.S. and Canada, so they’re not likely to be available for very long. It’s also highly unlikely you’ll ever see one on the road. So get yourself to Miami May 1-3 to take a gander.
