I apologize to you all in Eastern Canada for what we are about to achieve here in Alberta when it comes to separation.

I have grown up in this country (born in 1946), had a wonderful upbringing, was taught that honesty and hard work would help you make it through life with a house and family. Then to retire, enjoy the fruits of your hard labour and enjoy your grandchildren.
Living through the past 15 years of Liberal cronyism and climate-change nonsense has been nothing but a get-rich scheme for certain elites out east. Alberta (and Western Canada) has been treated as a cash cow and receives very little consideration for our contributions to Ottawa. Eastern provinces live off the cash we send to Ottawa when they could be developing much of their own resources, but chose not to. Why? Because Alberta will keep funnelling its cash to us and we won’t have to develop our own resources that might cause more global warming.
And now Carney wants to bypass the most important trading partner Canada has ever dealt with and buddy up to the Chinese. Here is a guy who doesn’t even invest in Canada, moves Brookfield’s head office to the U.S. and tells Canadians all is well in Canada.
Sorry, folks, but we need to separate so we can back to what made the West the best place to raise a family and so our grandchildren have a bright future. Alberta can afford it, and we will have our own “sovereignty fund” that’s not made up of debt and taxpayer money.

WHY IS LOBBYING LEGAL?

As far as I’m concerned, “lobbying” the government should be illegal. It may be called lobbying, but I call it greasing palms or myriad other descriptive phrasing. What it amounts to is companies buying favour with the government.
Let’s face it, governments aren’t in the habit of giving something for nothing. It’s the old, “You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” mentality. Ultimately, it’s taxpayers who end up the loser.
Now our vets are going to suffer because of lobbying, and that’s beyond the pale.
