After starting in 2024 and continuing the tradition in 2025, it’s officially time for the 2026 edition of the Top Names of the CFL Draft!

The 2026 CFL Draft took place on Tuesday night, and the most notable names this time around had me going back to an old, unconfirmed saying: never trust somebody with two first names.
Seriously though, these names are even more interchangeable than Cooper Douglas:
Ethan John (Toronto Argonauts, DB)
Wesley Bailey (Edmonton Elks, DL)
Ethan Stuart (Winnipeg Blue Bombers, DB)
Brody Clark (Winnipeg Blue Bombers, LB)
Josh Connor(s) (Ottawa REDBLACKS, LB)
Joshua Jack (Winnipeg Blue Bombers, WR)
Nathan Walker (Toronto Argonauts, K)
Ethan Graham (BC Lions, OL)
Ok, those names are pretty tame but still prove a point.
There was at least one big hitter this time around, however, the Montreal Alouettes scoring themselves A Midsummer Night’s Dream selecting Canadian defensive back Shakespeare Louis:

First and/or last names aside, the CFL got another serious injection of talent on Tuesday night. The Roughriders added eight new players, and you can check out the full CFL Draft list for 2026 HERE.
