TIMMINS – If you’re looking for your next read, there’s a new place to browse in Mountjoy.
A Great Book Box has been added on Park Avenue, across the street from the Mounjoy Arena in front of École catholique St-Dominque.
“The location was selected as there are several children and pedestrian routes which pass through that area,” reads the Timmins Public Library announcement.
“Just like the other boxes built by The Bucket Shop, the new book box is shaped in the iconic McIntyre Headframe and is free for everyone to use.”
There are at least 11 community book boxes across the city, 10 of which are operated by the library and one hosted by an avid reader looking to share the love of reading.
The premise for the boxes is to take a book and leave a book.
