Re: Carney announces sovereign wealth fund ahead of spring economic update, online, April 27

The Mark Carney sovereign wealth fund is a distraction to divert attention away from Canada’s catastrophic economic record.
What investor is going to trust their savings to the Liberals? Justin Trudeau told us the deficit would balance itself. Carney’s current “plan” is to allow the annual interest Canadians must pay on debt to rise from $50 billion to $80 billion.
Who is buying this sovereign fund smokescreen and Canadian government insanity? Evidently, the millions of Liberals voters who are suckers. Enjoy your sovereign fund insolvency!

SUCH ‘GOOD’ NEWS
Re: Federal deficit smaller than expected in spring economic update, but with $37.5B in extra spending, online, April 28
A “lower than forecast debt” from the guy whose entire career has been arranging numbers.
Rising oil prices and low project spending kept more money in Mark Carney’s coffers. Surprise! That would be the old budgeting tenet of more income, less outlay, right?
No need for fancy fiscal footwork by federal finance spinmeisters because our numbers are still underwater. Nor will fewer consultants and more real workers fix that.

HOW LOW CAN THEY GO?
Re: No more job security; GardaWorld lobbying could cost thousands of Canadian veterans, Brian Lilley column, April 28
Just when one thinks the Liberals couldn’t stoop any lower, they manage to do just that.
Moving forward, how will anyone be able to serve with pride when they know they’ll end up being treated like crap by the today’s so-called leaders who seem better suited to destroying our once-great country a little more each day.
The Commissionaires, for over 100 years, have served veterans well. You tell me why a Liberal government doesn’t seem to be able to handle anything that works well.
