Prime Minister Mark Carney was asked Tuesday how he would prevent an Alberta referendum from winning after a separatist group said it had gathered more than 300,000 signatures to possibly force a vote. Carney said the government would ‘continue to act as we have from the start, which is in the spirit of cooperative federalism.’
