One person suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash north of Brampton on Wednesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the collision on Highway 9 between Highway 50 and Humber Station Road in Caledon, the Ontario Provincial Police said on X at 8:30 a.m.
A transport truck and a passenger vehicle collided, police said.
Police said one person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
In an update at 9:30 a.m., the OPP said Highway 9 remained fully closed between Highway 50 and Humber Station Road. The closure is expected to last for at least several more hours while the on-site investigation continues, police said.
Drivers should plan alternate routes.
