It’s been nearly four months since the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ season ended, and Aaron Rodgers still hasn’t made a decision about where or if he wants to play next year.

All indications are that he’ll likely return to the Steelers, but why hasn’t he decided yet? What’s taking so long, and why is he now seemingly entertaining the idea of the Arizona Cardinals?

Rodgers has a history of stretching things out and didn’t sign with Pittsburgh until June last year. Some think he loves the mind games and being talked about on a daily basis.

While the Cardinals are an intriguing possibility for Rodgers, Danny Parkins thinks it’s just smoke and expects him to return to the Steelers and play for his former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.

“This is so ridiculous. He’s gonna be a Steeler. The Steelers, they are a good organization,” Parkins said on Tuesday’s episode of “First Things First.” “Everything they’ve done has indicated that they think Aaron Rodgers is coming back. Every single thing… They are operating like Aaron Rodgers is gonna be a Steeler.”

Parkins noted how several Steelers have been in close contact with Rodgers this offseason, including McCarthy and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. He also noted how Pittsburgh didn’t trade up in the draft for a quarterback, settling for Drew Allar in the third round.

Furthermore, the Cardinals were a disaster last year, tying for the worst record in the NFL at 3-14. The Steelers won the AFC North and appear poised for another good year after their strong offseason.

For Rodgers, the choice should be clear.
