A cyclist is in hospital after being hit by a pickup truck Wednesday morning in the south Transcona area of Winnipeg.
Emergency crews went to the crash 5:30 a.m. and blocked off the eastbound lanes of Dugald Road between Murdock Road and Ravenhurst Street.
The cyclist was rushed to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable, police said.
Officers could be seen standing near a black truck with a damaged front end. A bent bicycle was nearby, lying at the edge of the ditch.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and spoke to investigators.
