The New York Knicks will take a 2-0 series lead to Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference semifinals, after a 108-102 win over the 76ers tonight.
Unlike their convincing Game 1 win on Monday — and despite the 76ers being without star center Joel Embiid due to ankle and hip injuries — Game 2 was a tight contest until late in the fourth quarter, when Philly finally ran out of steam.
Jalen Brunson came up clutch for the Knicks once again, with 8 of his 26 points coming in the final quarter to lead New York in scoring.
Tyrese Maxey carried the load for the Sixers, also with 26 points, but it was Philly’s 18 turnovers that really did the damage at Madison Square Garden.
The series now heads to Philadelphia for Game 3 on Friday.
