The ASIEASIE Festival, a large Asian market right in downtown Montreal, is the second event of the month celebrating the city’s rich Asian culture—following Japan Week, which runs through May 10, 2026.
The ASIEASIE Festival is a market featuring over 40 exhibitors and creators from Montreal’s Asian community; it starts today and runs for four days at the centrally located Time Out Market in downtown Montreal’s Eaton Centre.
ASIEASIE Festival
The festival is divided into three areas: the market, a stage featuring continuous singing and dance performances, and spaces where workshops will be held.
There will be panel discussions, events, fashion shows, and music throughout the four days of the festival, and we’re really looking forward to;
Opening Ceremony – Thursday, May 7 at 6 p.m.
Asian Open Mic – Friday, May 8 at 7 p.m.
Traditional Attire Fashion Show– Saturday, May 9 at 3 p.m.: Kimono, Hanbok, Ao Dai, and Sari Fashion Show
Asian Pop in the Spotlight– Saturday, May 9, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.: K-Pop, V-Pop, and C-Pop performances… for fans of Asian pop and those who want to discover itlive
Roundtable: The Cost of Exclusion – Sunday, May 10 at 1 p.m. / How anti-immigration rhetoric affects the mental health of second- and third-generation youth—those whose sense of belonging in Quebec is constantly called into question.
Chibi Market
During the festival, there will be a mini Japanese market. “Chibi” means “small and cute” in Japanese. The market will feature artisans, local creators, illustrators, and plenty of Japanese culture.
This year’s participants include: Kimono Yuki, San-Ô Sake Brewery Inc., Tokusen, Atelier Tsubaki, Boutique Meico, Miya Candles, KotoAn Wagashi Japanese Pastry Shop, Sakao Tea, and Guru Teas.
