ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – We continue our countdown of the best moments in NASCAR history at WGI.
Now, it’s time for the #2 moment of all-time and it’s all about the smoke. Tony “Smoke” Stewart won his record fifth NASCAR race at Watkins Glen International in 2009 putting him on top of the mountain for most all-time wins at the track. Stewart won a staggering four times in six years at WGI with wins in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007 and then his final victory came in 2009.

A resume like that helped Stewart earn a place in the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2020. Take a look at our #2 NASCAR Moment of All-Time with Tony Stewart’s record-setting win.
