LETTER: Canada Revenue Agency is targeting the wrong people

Having just submitted my mom’s (age 87) and dad’s (age 95) taxes, we’ve just received notice from the CRA to review their medical expenses claimed, for the second year in a row.
Meanwhile, a report by Canadians for Tax Fairness estimates $15 billion per year in tax revenue is lost due to the use of tax havens. It’s comforting to know that the CRA is hard at work chasing the real tax evaders.
