A busy stretch of Highway 10 north of Brampton remains closed to traffic in both directions as police investigate a single-vehicle collision that occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
In their latest update, Ontario Provincial Police said at around 9:30 a.m. the major route remained closed, both northbound and southbound lanes, between The Grange Side Road and Olde Base Line Road in Caledon Village.
One person has been flown to a trauma centre for further assessment, police added.
No further details about the collision have been released by police, who urge motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
“Expect a prolonged closure during the investigation and cleanup efforts,” police said.
Witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have dash cam footage, are urged to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
