MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies will have the third-overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft.
The NBA Draft Lottery was held on Sunday afternoon. According to ESPN, the Grizzlies went into the lottery with a 37.2% chance of landing in the top four and a 9% chance of getting the No. 1 pick.
Memphis earned its spot in the lottery draft after ending the 2025-2026 season at the bottom of the Western Conference. The Grizzlies went 25-57 in the regular season.

The Grizzlies were represented by former NBA player and current Vice President of Basketball Affairs, Tayshaun Prince.
The team’s last top-four pick was All-Star point guard Ja Morant in 2019. The Grizzlies picked Morant at No. 2. The previous year, the Grizzlies selected power forward and former Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. at No. 4.
The team has stockpiled draft picks through recent trades involving Jackson and former Grizzlies star shooting guard Desmond Bane. The Grizzlies received five picks in the Bane trade and three picks in the Jackson trade.
The 2026 NBA draft will be held on June 23 and June 24.
