Friday’s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Dover Motor Speedway marks Spire Motorsports’ first start in the series at the one-mile concrete oval.

The ECOSAVE 200 will be televised live on FS1 on Friday, May 15, beginning at 5 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The ninth of 25 points-paying races on the 2026 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series schedule will also be broadcast live on the NASCAR Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

Kyle Busch – Driver, No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado RST

Kyle Busch will pilot Spire Motorsports’ No. 7 HendrickCars.com Chevrolet Silverado RST in Friday’s ECOSAVE 200. The ninth race of the 2026 season will mark Busch’s fourth start of the year for Spire Motorsports.

Busch will pull double duty at Dover this weekend, also driving the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing in Sunday’s NASCAR All-Star Race.

Busch’s last three Truck Series starts at Dover (2011, 2013, 2014) all resulted in victories. Across those events, the Las Vegas native led a combined 328 laps and swept the 2013 race by earning both the pole and the win.

In his most recent Truck Series start, Busch rallied from early-race damage and being a lap down to finish second at Texas Motor Speedway, leading a Spire Motorsports 1–2 finish with teammate Carson Hocevar.

In nine career Truck Series starts at Dover, Busch has earned two poles, four wins, four top-five finishes, and six top-10s while leading 911 laps. He also owns three NASCAR Cup Series wins at Dover (2008, 2010, 2017), tying him for the most among active drivers.

Busch will drive Spire Manufacturing chassis SMT‑086, marking the truck’s fifth start.

“It’s kind of crazy that it’s been over 10 years since I’ve raced a truck at Dover. A lot has changed in the Truck Series since then. We’ve got the spec motor now and the bodies have changed a couple of times, so practice will be important to get a feel for things. One thing I do know is that it’ll be hard to pass, so qualifying up front and keeping track position is going to be key if we want to compete for the win.”

Crew Chief – Brian Pattie

Brian Pattie leads the No. 7 team, which sits second in the owner standings with one win, three top-five, and five top-10 finishes through eight races.

Pattie guided Busch to his 68th career Truck Series win earlier this season at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

He has called 27 Cup Series races at Dover, with a best finish of second (Ricky Stenhouse Jr., 2022), and previously won at the track in 2003 with Joe Nemechek in the Xfinity Series.

Carson Hocevar – Driver, No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado RST

Carson Hocevar will drive the No. 77 Delaware Life Chevrolet Silverado RST in Friday’s ECOSAVE 200. He will also compete in Sunday’s NASCAR All-Star Race, pulling double duty for the weekend.

In last week’s Truck Series race at Watkins Glen, Hocevar ran in the top 10 most of the day before being spun into the wall on a late restart, resulting in a 31st-place finish.

The 23-year-old sits seventh in the NASCAR Cup Series standings with one win, three top-five finishes, and five top-10s in 2026.

Hocevar last competed at Dover in the Truck Series in 2020, finishing 12th in just his fourth career start. Across his Truck Series career, he owns six wins, 24 top fives, and 37 top-10 finishes, along with 843 laps led.

He will drive Spire Manufacturing chassis SMT‑090, marking that truck’s fourth start.

Crew Chief – Chad Walter

Chad Walter serves as crew chief for the No. 77 team. In his only Truck Series race at Dover, he guided Tyler Ankrum to a sixth-place start and a seventh-place finish in 2020.

Across NASCAR’s national series, Walter has recorded seven wins, 56 top-five finishes, and 142 top-10s. He holds a mechanical engineering degree from Cornell University, where he also played football.
