A child is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
The child was riding a scooter and was struck by a truck at the intersection of Taracove Road N.E. and Taravista Drive N.E. shortly before 5 p.m. The driver remained on scene.
Police say the child is conscious but was transported to the Alberta Children’s Hospital with serious but non-life-altering injuries.
Roads were closed in all directions from the intersection, but have since reopened.
