They’re only 15 years old, but Cash and Roman Felber are about to compete in their first season of British Formula 4.

The American identical twins made the big jump from karting and it means a lot more pressure and physical demand. Formula 4 cars force drivers to adapt more quickly to higher speeds and G forces. Younger drivers often have a tougher time handling the faster pace and the tighter finishes, and so preparation beforehand is absolutely essential.

The Felber twins recently spent months testing at several British tracks, including Silverstone, Snetterton, Donington Park, Croft, and Thruxton. In sessions like these, drivers usually put themselves through race simulations and adjust their setup before the season starts. The team and the drivers worked on improving lap consistency, reaction time, and overall race execution during the sessions.

Because the twins are identical, engineers can study their braking patterns, how they enter corners, and other feedback with fewer outside variables affecting results. This comparison data has reportedly helped the Felbers and their team speed up adjustments between sessions.

Their different driving styles have also become useful during testing. One driver attacks corners more aggressively while the other focuses on smoother and more controlled inputs. This difference gives the team multiple reference points while evaluating car balance and performance.

Simulator work has also played a major role in their development. Both drivers logged extensive hours preparing for circuits before arriving at the track in an effort to shorten adaptation time during race weekends.

Physical training has increased as well as the demands of longer Formula 4 practice sessions.

With testing now complete, the twins are turning all their attention toward performing well during races as their first British Formula 4 season arrives.
