How to claim the BetMGM bonus code

New BetMGM users have different welcome promotions based on where they live. Those in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia can use the BetMGM bonus code CBSSPORTS to get $150 in bonus bets when they place and win a first bet of $10 or more. If you’re in another state where BetMGM is available, instead of that “bet and get” promotion, you can get up to $1,500 in bonus bets if your first bet loses. BetMGM covers your first bet with the sportsbook, returning your stake up to $1,500 if it loses. Say you bet on the Blue Jays to beat the Cubs on Wednesday. If Toronto wins, you get your winnings and stake back like normal. If Chicago wins, you’d get your stake back in bonus bets after your first bet settles as a loss. There’s no minimum odds requirement for either offer.

BetMGM bonus code terms and conditions

It’s important to note the BetMGM bonus code is only available to those who are in a state where BetMGM operates, and who are 21 or older. Additionally, you have to be a brand-new BetMGM user, meaning you can’t have signed up with the platform before, even if you’re in a new state. This offer is available on Wednesday for any of the top MLB or WNBA games on the schedule.

If you sign up with BetMGM and use the welcome offer for up to $1,500 in bonus bets if your first bet loses, just know that the amount you wager determines how you receive the bonus bets. If your first bet is for less than $50, you would get one single bonus bet token equal to your stake if your first bet loses. If you bet $50 or more and your first bet loses, you’d get five bonus bets each worth 20% of your stake. For example, if you bet $500 on the Blue Jays money line on Wednesday and the Cubs win, you’d get five $100 bonus bet slips.

Bonus bets can’t be withdrawn and hold no cash value. They also expire after seven days. If you win a bet with bonus bets, you get the winnings but not the stake back. Sign up with BetMGM to get bonus bets here:

Best bets on Wednesday, August 13Best MLB bets today

The first MLB game of the day also features the lone ‘A’ grade from the SportsLine Projection Model for Wednesday’s MLB slate when the Detroit Tigers visit the Chicago White Sox. The Tigers have cooled off considerably since their red-hot start to open the year, but they enter the day in first place in the American League Central, 5.5 games above the Cleveland Guardians. The White Sox are in last place in the AL Central but have made progress after winning just 41 games all of last season. These teams split the first two games of this series. Troy Melton (2-1, 3.63 ERA) starts for Detroit while rookie All-Star Shane Smith (3-7, 4.22 ERA) starts for the White Sox. Melton is making his fifth appearance and third start of the 2025 season, with his last two outings coming in relief. Smith allowed two runs in five innings in his last start against the Seattle Mariners. The Tigers are -137 favorites on the road (wager $137 to win $100), according to SportsLine consensus odds, while the White Sox are +115 underdogs at home (wager $100 to win $115). The total is set at 8.5 runs. The SportsLine Projection Model likes the Tigers on the money line, with Detroit winning in 61% of simulations, good for an ‘A’ grade.

The Phillies enter Wednesday with a five-game lead over the New York Mets in the NL East while the Reds are just two games back of the Mets for the third and final NL Wild Card spot. The Phillies won the series opener 4-1 on Monday before the Reds took Tuesday’s matchup 6-1. Cristopher Sanchez (11-3, 2.36 ERA) starts for the Phillies while the Reds turn to Hunter Greene (4-3, 2.72 ERA). Sanchez has been stellar for the Phillies all year long and has pitched at least six innings in every start since the beginning of June. Greene was great for the Reds to open the year and Wednesday is his first start since June 3. The Phillies are -124 on the money line per the latest SportsLine consensus odds, while Cincinnati is +104. The SportsLine Projection Model has issued a ‘B’ grade for Reds +1.5 as Cincy covers in 63% of simulations.
