Power Trip have been in the studio recording their first new material following Riley Gale’s death

Power Trip have returned to the studio and appear to be closing in on their first new material since the death of frontman Riley Gale.

The Texas crossover band have been working with producer Jacob Hansen. The sessions come after Power Trip signed with Blue Grape Music in March and will mark their first proper body of work since Gale’s 2020 death from an accidental overdose. Skourge vocalist Seth Gilmore has been handling vocal duties for the band in the interim.

Earlier in the year guitarist Blake Ibanez mentioned the band was working on new material and last month the band shared the following post of the group in the studio alongside Hansen.
