The grind of the NASCAR Cup Series season takes a break for the All-Star Race. Dover Motor Speedway hosts the All-Star Race and the only event of the season on the track. Tyler Reddick leads the way through the first 12 races of the season with five wins and 567 points. The NASCAR All-Star Race was held at Charlotte Motor Speedway from 1985 to 2019. Since 2020, it has moved around to different sites. This is the first year at Dover Motor Speedway. Kyle Larson and Joey Logano have been the kings of the NASCAR All-Star Race since 2016, with five combined wins.

Larson has wins in 2019, 2021, and 2023. Logano won back in 2016 and then added a second win in 2024. He joined Terry Labonte, Mark Martin, and Kevin Harvick with at least eight wins between their first and second wins at the NASCAR All-Star Race.

Last season, Christopher Bell won the NASCAR All-Star Race for the first time in his career. He held off Logano, Ross Chastain, Alex Bowman, and Chase Elliott for the win. Logano finished in second place, just shy of a third win.

Larson led the way in practice with a speed of 157.950 miles per hour and a time of 22.792 seconds. Michael McDowell and Denny Hamlin finished with the next two best times in practice.
