A popular Brampton park has been closed effective immediately after police reported large and unsafe gatherings along with the use of fireworks Sunday night.
Peel Regional Police said Chinguacousy Park is now closed and all individuals inside the park are being ordered to leave the area.
Police said officers are currently on scene, clearing the park, and will be conducting enforcement.
Officials added that the closure comes amid concerns over unsafe crowds and fireworks activity inside the park.
The park will remain closed until further notice.
No further details, including whether any arrests or injuries were reported, have been released.
