Jay’siiah Webb-Long went missing of March, 2025.
The body of Jay’siiah Webb-Long has been found in Saskatchewan, a year after the teen was reported missing from his Brampton home.
Saskatchewan RCMP say they discovered his remains on May 13 during a planned search near Pelican Narrows, a community with a population of 2,000 located 500 km northeast of Saskatoon.
Investigators believe the 16-year-old’s death is a homicide.
Webb-Long was last seen leaving his home in the area of Ivor Crescent and Hoxton Road in Brampton on March 27 of last year.
He initially had been in touch with his mother on Instagram, but the communication stopped around May 16.
Stories surfaced late last year that he had been seen in Pelican Narrows, but when police investigated, they were told he had left the area due to concerns about wildfires.
At the time of his disappearance, family members described Webb-Long as “vulnerable” and said his disappearance was unusual and that there were no previous family connections to Saskatchewan.
RCMP say their investigation is ongoing.
